Football / Futsal

Football (soccer) originated in England in the mid-19th century, when standardized rules were created to unify different versions of the game played across schools and clubs.

Futsal, a smaller indoor variant of football, began in Uruguay in 1930, designed for play on basketball-sized courts. In both sports, two teams compete to score goals by kicking a ball into the opponent’s net without using their hands or arms (except the goalkeeper).

Football is played outdoors with 11 players per team on a large grass field, while futsal uses five players per side on a hard court, emphasizing quick passing, close ball control, and fast-paced play.
