OVERVIEW OF OUR EVENTS
World Masters Sport organises three main types of events for masters athletes aged 30 and above. The World Masters Games is the flagship event held every two years, featuring a wide range of summer sports and open to participants from around the globe. The Winter World Masters Games, also held every two years, focuses on winter sports like skiing and ice skating.
In addition to these, World Masters Sport previously hosted regional games such as the European, Asia-Pacific, and Pan-American Masters Games. These have now been unified under a new global brand called the Open Masters Games, as they are open to all international participants regardless of region. This change reflects World Masters Sport’s commitment to inclusivity and expanding opportunities for lifelong competitive sport in a social setting, across the world.
