“I wanted to get back into that competitiveness and that competition arena and so someone shared about these Masters Games and so I looked into it and I thought that looks really lovely, I would like to try it and I joked around with some past friends and said: I think I’m going to do this Masters Games thing and they were like we’ll get into it too!”

Sport keeps us fit, it keeps people healthy and you can see from the smiles on the faces what it means to them to be still active and competing in events like this and meeting people throughout their whole lives.

“I’m being really impressed by our results, everyone has tried their hardest. We’ve got the medals. You feel good. It’s just a lovely vibe, it’s been a very friendly atmosphere, everyone has been very welcoming, it’s been very well organised and we’re very grateful for that.”
